About Us

SF Therapy Collective’s formation and mission were inspired and driven by the shared vision of our four founding clinicians who became friends and colleagues while working together at New Leaf Services.

Unfortunately, New Leaf Services closed its doors in 2010 after serving the LGBTQIA+ community for more than 35 years. Motivated by a mutual ambition to continue providing quality therapeutic services to the queer community in the Bay Area, the founders quickly gathered forces and were able to open SF Therapy Collective for service in October of 2010, in a new space in the Castro neighborhood of San Francisco.

Fast forward to today’s post-pandemic world: we are steadily growing our diverse client base and our team of clinicians and post-graduate interns. Plans are underway to continue growing our post-graduate training program and to continue spreading the word about our organization to the local community.
